Drawing

Ok, so this is my first blog.....be gentle. For this one, I thought I would post a drawing I did recently. I have never really considered myself an artist. I do not even draw all that much. It began in high school drawing ships from Star Wars <--nerd. Then I moved to things like Final Fantasy VII and Ghost in the Shell reproductions. In college, I took a drawing class as an elective. I learned a lot, but I think I learned more about myself than I did anything about art. I drew a few things in that class that I am at least sorta proud off, but after drawing things I never wanted to draw day in and day out, I grew tired. Remember, I never drew that much to begin with. Now I am lucky if I draw one thing a year. When I do, I just try to draw what I see. Sometimes I can get pretty close--sometimes I do not. (Maybe in another blog I will show an example.) Here is a portrait I drew from a picture.

I hadn't drawn anything in a long time and it just struck me all of a sudden. Putting me to shame is Mia Bergeron (her blog is http://openfire1.blogspot.com/). Her artwork is amazing! I suspect it is a lot of talent and a great deal of hard work. Two things I lack. lol (ok ok, so Mia is probably the only one that will ever see this post but I still thought she deserved this shout-out).

So what do you think? .............I think I'll stick to engineering.
